Allen Hits Hole in One at Yucca Ridge

*Allen makes an Ace at Yucca Ridge*

A regular casual golfer, Ray Allen of Liberal shot a hole in one on the par
3 hole #5 last Wednesday at Yucca Ridge Golf Club. Golfing with his wife
Nancy, Allen shot from the white tees for about a 100 yard shot. ‘I saw it
hit behind a clover patch just in front of the green and bounce; I thought
it rolled off the back of the green but could not find it. Then Nancy
walked passed the hole to help look for it and saw it in the cup,’ said
Allen.

This is Allen’s second ace in over 60 years of playing golf, getting his
first ace in Enid Oklahoma when he was about 19 years old. Yucca Ridge
superintendent Trent Kitch said, “This is the first witnessed hole in one
reported since Yucca Ridge opened to the public in 2006.”
