Liberal senior Aidan Schwindt is Hay Rice and Associates Athlete of the Week. Schwindt leads the Redskins and is second in the WAC with three interceptions. He has 20 tackles. On offense, Schwindt had 18 catches for 253 yards and three touchdowns. Schwindt has 14 carries for 87 yards and two touchdowns. He is also Liberal’s punter and averages 39 yards a boot. Schwindt also wrestles and went to state last year. He was a first team all WAC baseball player last spring. He is also involved in FCA, the Wizard of Oz musical, and student council. He is an Eagle Scout. Schwindt and the 7-1 Redskins host 3-5 Newton for a 5A playoff game Friday night at 7pm on 1270 and 92.3. Pre-game begins at 6pm.
