A one vehicle accident has claimed the life of a Liberal man. The accident occurred Monday afternoon at approximately 3:20pm in the vicinity of Seward County Road M and Road 6. A 2001 Western Star cement truck being driven by William Pugh,42, was eastbound on County Road 6 when he drove off the right side of the road, over corrected, and crossed the roadway. The truck entered the north ditch and overturned coming to rest on the drivers side in the north ditch, facing south. Pugh was declared dead at the scene, while a passenger in the truck, Richard File,49, was taken to Southwest Medical Center to be treated for his inujuries. Seatbelts were in use in the vehicle.
