Meade State Park was full of activity Saturday morning and afternoon. The park southwest of Meade hosted OK Kids Day under mostly sunny skies with temperatures in the 60’s. Some of the activities included fishing derby, laser shoot, skins and skulls, flying frogs, moon walk, wing shoot, archery, fire hose activity, D.A.R.E. fish pond, Meade County E.M.S. crafts, K-State Research and Extension, corn treasure hunt, sandcastle contest, Liberal Police Department, and more.

Local sponsors provided a free hamburger and hot dog feed. Prizes were provided by both the local and corporate sponsors. The event is meant to encourage kids to get outside and get active.
