Lamar Nips Garden for Seventh

Garden City went 2-2 at the NJCAA tournament last week in Hutchinson. Lamar topped the Broncbusters 61-58 Saturday afternoon in the Sports Arena. The Busters finish 25-12 after their first trip to nationals since 1956. Salt Lake won the NJCAA championship 67-60 over Midland Saturday night for their first championship. A Texas team had won the title three times in the past four years.
