Bee Jays Fall to Derby

The Liberal Bee Jays struggled Wednesday night in Derby in a 7-4 loss to the Twins.

Liberal had just three hits in the loss and two of their four runs were unearned with two of them coming in the third inning.

Derby never trailed in the game and got up early scoring three runs in the second inning. The Bee Jays responded with two runs in third without a hit. After the 3-2 deficit, the closest Liberal came was when they trailed 5-3. The Twins added two runs in the sixth.

Derby improves to 12-17 overall and 10-16 in the Jayhawk League. The Bee Jays fall to 21-8 overall, and 13-8 in the league.

The same two teams will face off again tonight in Derby at 7 p.m. The game will air on 1270 AM and right here on kscbnews.net.
