• The Apache track team entered their first Kansas meet yesterday, April 15th.  The team opened the day with field events.

Devonte Denton (7th), Kaden Olvera (7th), Landon Flores (7th), Xaadin Navarro (8th), and Saniyah Tucker (8th) all successfully contributed to their team scores by earning a top 6 placement in the field events.

• That following afternoon, the team entered the running events. Individually the following athletes placed top 6 in their running event:

Kamila Huerta (7th), Valeria Ontiveros (8th), Kaden Olvera (7th), Devonte Denton (7th), Brandon Maldonado (7th), Elkar Mancia (7th), Xaadin Navarro (8th), and Darion Denton (8th).

• The Apaches entered multiple relays into this meet with numerous bringing in points:

7th Grade 4×100 with Brandon Maldonado, Kaden Olvera, Elkar Mancia,                           and Devonte Denton.

7th Grade 4×200 with Brandon Maldonado, Ayden Gutierrez, Lucas Owens, and Landon Flores.

8th Grade 4×100 with Ava Ruiz, Janelle Aquino, Vianka Meza, and Saniyah Tucker.

8th Grade 4×800 with Ava Limbocker, Yaquelin Molina, Jimena Fuentes, and Kenna Cordes.

• 7th Grade Girls Placement: 

Kamila Huerta placed 6th in the 1600m (1 Mile).

• 7th Grade Boys Placement: 

Kaden Olvera placed 4th 200m, 2nd in 400m and 4th in Long Jump.

Devonte Denton placed 1st 100m Hurdles, 2nd 200m Hurdles, and 2nd in Long Jump.

Brandon Maldonado placed 4th in the 100m Hurdles.

Elkar Mancia placed 5th in the 100m Hurdles and 5th in the 200m Hurdles.

Landon Flores placed 6th in Long Jump.

7th Grade Boys 4x100m placed 1st with Brandon Maldonado, Kaden Olvera, Elkar Mancia, and Devonte Denton.

7th Grade Boys 4x200m placed 6th with Landon Flores, Ayden Gutierrez, Lucas Owens, and Brandon Maldonado.

• 8th Grade Girls Placement:

Valeria Ontiveros placed 3rd in the 3200m (2 Mile) Run and 6th in the 400m run.

Saniyah Tucker placed 5th in High Jump.

8th grade girls 4x100m placed 6th with Ava Ruiz, Vianka Meza, Janelle Aquino, and Saniyah Tucker.

8th grade 4x800m placed 6th place with Ava Limbocker, Yaquelyn Molina, Jimena Fuentes and Kenna Cordes.

• 8th Grade Boys Placement:

Darion Denton placed 3rd in the 100m Dash, 2nd in the 100m Hurdles, and 1st in the 200m Hurdles.

Xaadin Navarro placed 6th in 200m Hurdles, 4th in High Jump, and 6th in Long Jump.
