Sunday night many Liberal residents will gather together and celebrate Independence Day at the ballpark. It’s arguably the most attended event in Liberal each year. It’s the 4th of July fireworks after the Liberal Bee Jay game. The fireworks will again follow the baseball game Sunday night. The Bee Jays play the Dodge City A’s at 7 p.m. Ed Poley put together a short video montage to honor veterans which will show right after the game and just before the fireworks. The Community Bank and Pizza Hut are the corporate sponsors of the event.
Before the game, the First Southern Baptist Church will put on a picnic with food and games for the kids from 4-6 p.m. The ballgame will air on Talkradio 1270, Windjammer channel 8, and kscbnews.net.
