Seward County Community College is excited to announce its third annual Forensics Showcase! This performance features eight to ten minute one-act pieces of literature, poetry, comedy, and drama delivered by some of the most talented competitors at both the high school and college levels. The event will take place at SCCC’s Showcase Theater on Tuesday, April 15, at 7:00 pm. Entry is completely free, and reserved tickets are available to students in his classroom at LHS, or upon request at [email protected].
Over the past two years, coach Justin Kieran has been putting on a celebration of all things theater, public speaking and dramatic arts — this year, he is excited to announce that a whopping four area high school teams will be joining his collegiate squad for this year’s show. In addition to returning schools, LHS and Hugoton High School, Dodge City High School and Southwestern Heights students will be making their debut appearances.
“Last year, we were blessed enough by our community to sell out every single seat of the Showcase Theater,” notes Coach Kieran, “It was an amazing and heartwarming moment, and I cannot thank the people of Liberal enough.” Mr. Kieran is anxious to replicate that success, but that means space is limited — get to the doors early to make sure you get your seats before they’re gone!
