On March 18, 2025, at approximately 2:57 PM, officers of the Liberal Police Department and emergency personnel responded to a reported injury accident involving a motorcycle and a vehicle in the 500 block of E Pancake Blvd.

Upon arrival, officers found a male victim lying on the ground near the curb at Jewell Ave and Pancake Blvd. The individual was conscious but sustained injuries to his mouth and head.
Through the investigation, officers determined that a maroon 2024 Dodge Charger entered Pancake Blvd from Yellow Brick Rd, failing to yield to the motorcycle.

The injured male was transported to Southwest Medical Center and later transferred to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita for further treatment.
