LIBERAL, Kan. — The Seward County Community College Foundation has announced its keynote speakers for the first-ever Presidential Gala slated for March 22. Two Kansas City Chiefs players who claimed Superbowl rings, Blake Bell and Gehrig Dieter, will headline the black-tie evening.
Foundation Executive Director Teresa Randle said the event is designed to provide a one-of-a-kind experience for individual Saints donors and supporting businesses and organizations.
“We have had a lot of people ask for something special, and this is intended to be just that,” Randle said. The evening, hosted in the Greenhouse gymnasium on the SCCC campus, features a three-course Prime Rib dinner, dessert, and unlimited drinks. Beer, wine, and soft drinks will be served at the sit-down dinner. The evening kicks off with a 5:30 p.m. cocktail hour, followed by dinner and entertainment.
Blake Bell , born and raised in Wichita, Kan., is an American professional football tight end nicknamed “Belldozer” when he played college football for the Sooners. During his NFL career, Bell signed with the Chiefs not once but twice in 2019 and again in 2021. Wide receiver Gehrig Dieter played for the Chiefs for five years, retiring in 2022.
Tickets for the event are available in table-for-six packages priced at $850 or individually for $150. All proceeds from the Gala are earmarked for student scholarship.
