The USD 480 Board of Education met on Monday evening and in action items, approved payment No. 5 to Osborne Construction in the amount of $224,619.14 for the Rain Screen at Liberal High School. The Board also approved several Resolutions removing Stephen Linkous as Superintendent.

Approved was the 2025-2026 school calendar and the renewal with Apptegy in the amount of $18,565.75 for the Districts website. The Board approved the District’s Social Workers to attend the National School Social Work Conference and approved 2 new positions in the District. Those a Spanish Language Arts teacher at SRMS for the 2025-26 school year and an administrative assistant to the Assistant Superintendents.

After three Executive sessions the Board approved the employment of Dane Richardson as per contract presented by counsel from July 1st 2025 through June 30th 2028.
