The Liberal girls have won eight of their last nine after a 67-33 win over the Lakin Lady Broncs Tuesday afternoon in the Big House. It’s the first time the two school have played in girls basketball since the 2004-05 season in the Scott City tournament. The game was played at 4pm due to the forecast of an incoming winter storm.
The Lady Redskins jumped out to a 13-0 lead and led 31-9 after one. LHS led 41-17 at halftime. It was 60-28 after three.
Kylie Rhine scored a career high 20 points and was Epic Touch Player of the Game. Shamari Lewis added 18 points and 10 rebounds.
Lakin is 7-8. Liberal is 12-5 and plays at Hays Friday night at 6pm with Redskin Pre-game at 5:45 on 1270 and 92.3.
