A train/vehicle accident has claimed the life of a Hooker OK man. The accident occurred Friday afternoon at approximately 4:28 pm at the railroad crossing on Main Street in Kismet. A 2003 Chevy Suburban being driven by David Vargas, 35, of Hooker was Southbound on Main Street. Vargas drove around the railroad crossing arm and was struck by a train traveling Eastbound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
