Liberal senior wrestler Julian Orrantia is this week’s Hay Rice and Associates Athlete of the Week.  Orrantia is 27-5 in his senior season.  He won four matches in state as a junior.  Orrantia is currently wrestling at 120 pounds and is ranked #5 in the state.  Orrantia pinned his opponent from Lamar Tuesday night in the Big House.  He has won tournament at Hoisington and Colby and placed second for his weight division at Scott City.  He played football and is involved in student council and is a member of the National Honor Society.  Orrantia and the Redskins wrestle at the Rocky Welton Invitational Friday and Saturday at Garden City.
