Area food pantries provide much-needed assistance to those who are facing food insecurity. However, their work can be challenging due to limited resources and funding. TCEC (Tri-County Electric Cooperative) matched donations made by its employees, to provide welcome relief for eight local food pantries. Additionally, the TCEC board of directors made their own donation, bringing the total to $9,640 in financial support. This necessary funding will go a long way towards feeding children, seniors, and families this holiday season and upcoming new year.
