Seward County Sheriff’s Office Drug Seizure on Highway 54

On December 11, 2024 in the early morning, a Seward County Sheriff’s Office Deputy initiated a traffic stop on Highway 54 near Kismet for a traffic violation. During the traffic enforcement, the Deputy observed numerous indicators of criminal activity. A subsequent search revealed vacuum sealed bundles of suspected methamphetamine. The total approximate weight of the methamphetamine located was 45 pounds. A 48-year-old male was taken into custody and lodged in the Seward County Jail in this incident.
