City Commission Purchases Property for Future Development

The Liberal City Commission met on Tuesday evening at 5:30 pm and held discussion on the Larry Street & Hickory Street RHID.

Commissioners approved Ordinance No. 4623 which amends Chapter 12, Articles 4 and 5. Article 4 establishes the Air Museum as a City Department and moves the Parade Regulations to Article 5 of the City of Liberal Code Book.

The Commission approved Resolution No. 2425 which raises the Solid Waste rates for home, commercial, and roll-off customers, and approved for Communications the purchase of Emergency Response Protocol Software.

The Commission was presented with a Ortuno Housing Addition Change Order Request for the Ortuno Housing Addition in the amount of $49,490.00. After discussion the Commission took no action on the request.

The Commissioners approved purchase 15 acres of land on North Highway 83 for future development. Cost of the property was $75,000.
