For the first time in program history the Lady Saints soccer team earned a spot in the Region VI Tournament with Seward County earning a matchup with the #11 nationally ranked Butler Grizzlies in the first round where SCCC struggled from the opening minutes as they fell 4-0 on the road to end their 2024 season.

Seward County fought hard through the first third of the first half with the Lady Saints managing to hold Butler off by booting the ball down field to keep the score blank entering the fifteenth minute. The first score of the game came two minutes later however as the Grizzlies connected on a free kick that bounced off a missed header and into the back of the net to put Seward County behind 1-0 in the 17th minute. The Lady Saints tried to rally together and push down field with Natoya Atkinson launching in a shot on goal but was silenced by the opposing keeper to keep SCCC scoreless while Butler responded with a drive of their own that ended in goal number two in the 32nd minute for the Grizzlies to head into the halftime break down 2-0.

Ashley Acevedo was one of the few bright spots for Seward County as the Liberal native made multiple saves to open the second half with a pair of catches and a high rising punch to keep the goal safe from harm. Despite her best efforts she could not deflect every shot as another Butler goal snuck past her in the 60th minute to make it a 3-0 deficit for the Lady Saints before giving up a final goal in the 72nd minute to end the 2024 season with a 4-0 loss.

Seward County ends their 2024 season with a 2-12-6 overall record while finishing Jayhawk conference play 1-10-5.
