SCCC Collegiate Quiz Bowl Team Takes 2nd Place in Garden City

The Seward County Community College Collegiate Quiz Bowl Team recently traveled to Garden City to compete in the Garden City Invitational. The team from SCCC took second place in its 2024-25 season inaugural outing at the competition. Plains sophomore Breckin Buttry finished in second place individually.

Other team members are Captain Alexis Williams, Plains freshman; Ainsley Horinek, Sublette sophomore; and Parker Wurtz, Plains freshman. They are coached by Charity Horinek, Sublette, SCCC Executive Director of Grant Development.
