Wrestlers Attend Cosmic Clash

On Saturday, September 21, six wrestlers from Liberal Wrestling Club attended Cosmic
Clash in Denver, Colorado. Cosmic Clash is a tournament put on by RMN Events that presents
the world’s only blacklight wrestling experience. There were over 2,000 wrestlers in attendance
at this glowing event.

“The experience exceeded my expectations. All wrestlers who registered before a
certain date received their choice of singlets that were made to stand out during the tournament.
Kids used highlighters to make tattoos on themselves, wore bright colors and had flashing lights
all over. I am so glad we had the opportunity to attend this event. Something else that really
stood out to me was that RMN Events is a christian based company and many of the singlets
included bible references,” coach Krista Holcomb said.

Starting the day, Elias Holcomb, Ian Holcomb and Dominic Vega took the mats. Ian took
second place in this tournament. His standout match was coming back to win 9-8 when he was
down by 7 in the first period. Unfortunately, Vega had to forfeit due to injury after his first match.
Elias did not place but had one pin during his day.

For the afternoon session, Keirsie Carlile, Iovani Chavez and Alyvia Holcomb were up.
Carlile took 6th and fought through a very tough bracket. She had some very impressive wins
and one pin for the day. Chavez placed 6th, while Alyvia took 5th.

Liberal Wrestling Club holds practices every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from
