Ronald Max Kuykendall, 79, of Beaver, OK, passed away September 20, 2024, at OU Health Medical Center in Oklahoma City, OK. Ron was born on November 30, 1944, in Beaver, OK, to Merrell and Nellie Kuykendall. Ron attended school in Turpin, OK and graduated in 1963. He received three bachelor’s degrees in biology, chemistry and agronomy from PSU in Goodwell, OK.

Ron was united in marriage to Barbara Ann Nichols on January 27, 1980, in Goodwell, OK and moved his new family to Beaver, OK in November 1980.

Ron was a 4th generation resident of Beaver County. He was a football coach and taught science in the Goodwell school system when he met Barbara Ann. He worked as a corrosion specialist for Enron from 1980 to 1993. In the years following, he continued his teaching in the Tyrone, Texhoma and Forgan school systems before retiring. He served as the Municipal Judge and sat on the Town Board and Zoning Committee. He drove the City Transit Bus and the Beaver County Nursing Home Van. Ron was a member of the Beaver United Methodist Church where he ran the sound system for many years. He served as Trustee and Delegate to Oklahoma Conference and was President of Methodist Men. Ron enjoyed hunting, fishing and OU Football, but especially loved watching his children and grandchildren play sports. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Merrell and Nellie Kuykendall. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Barbara Kuykendall; his sister, Carolyn Jines of Turpin, OK; his daughters Michele Reust of Guymon, OK and Angie Dame of Midland, TX; his son, Cameron Kuykendall of Broken Arrow, OK; five grandchildren and families, Heidi Reust of OKC, OK, Seth Reust of Guymon, OK, Kaitlin Parsons of Woodward, OK, Rebekah Dame of Eunice, NM and Jenah Dame of Watonga, OK; two great-grandchildren, Bentley and Oakley Parsons of Woodward, OK; and two nieces and families, Sherlyn Greer of Sublette, KS and Merlyn Sawyers of Turpin, OK; and many great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 27 at the United Methodist Church in Beaver. Interment will be at the Independence Cemetery in Turpin, OK.
