USD 480 Approves Library Renovation Change Order

The USD 480 Board of Education met on Monday evening and in the first order of business, held a Public Hearing for exceeding the Revenue Neutral Rate. In new business the Board approved the Agreement for Sharing of USD 480 Audiology Personnel with Southwest Kansas Area Cooperative.

The Board approved the quote from Bullseye LLC in the amount of $16,000.00 for the Walkthrough Support Package and reviewed the Renewal of Aruba support for the schools wireless controllers and access points. Also approved was the quote from ISG in the amount of $93,619.20 for the VMware renewal

Approved was the quote from Convergint Technologies in the amount of $24,213.72 to provide Salto locking hardware to be installed with the replacement interior doors at LHS in the gym, auditorium and band hallway and the bid from Southwest Glass in the amount of $283,625.00 was approved to furnish and install 20 doors/door pairs at LHS, in the big gym, auditorium and auditorium hallways.

A Change Order was approved for the LHS Library Renovation Change Order 1. Cost of the Change Order is in the amount of $24,300.65. During the course of demolition at LHS, the following issues were found that needed resolved:

-Interior wall framing adjustments

-Replace two existing doors to match new and change door swings

-Remove and replace existing flooring in adjacent room, original plan was to remove enough to install plumbing and replace to match, however unable to match existing

-Salvage brick to fill in hallway opening in lieu of new, unable to match existing.

The Board approved the Payment Application in the amount of $298,493.85 for the Rain screen at the LHS Auditorium and approved the payment of two invoices from Earles Engineering totaling $41,967.00 for the Project inspection services for the LHS Parking lot replacement project.
