Bridge replacement project underway along K-34 in Clark County

A bridge replacement project is underway along K-34 over Bluff Creek, according to the Kansas Department of Transportation.

K-34 in both directions at Bluff Creek Bridge is closed to replace the bridge. The closure will be in effect throughout the duration of the project. Traffic will follow the signed detour using U.S. 54, U.S. 283 and U.S. 160 in Clark County.

KDOT uses state highways for official detour routes for safety, weight and maintenance concerns.

L & M Contractors, Inc. of Great Bend, is the contractor on this $3.3 million project that is expected to be completed by the end of March, weather permitting.
