On July 7th, a Texas County deputy sheriff initiated a traffic stop on Highway 54 at the Star Truck Wash.

During the course of the stop, a K-9 screen was requested by the deputy. The K-9 handler informed the deputy that the dog had alerted to the presence of illegal narcotics inside the vehicle.

A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted by deputies and inside the vehicle, methamphetamine and cocaine was located along with items consistent with the sale of narcotics.

This stop led to the additional search of two residences, one in Optima and one in Guymon.

Over 2 lbs of methamphetamine, 2.5 ounces of cocaine and two firearms were seized between the vehicle and the Guymon residence. Roberto Diaz of Guymon was arrested and booked into the Texas County Detention Center. Diaz has been charged with the following:

-Aggravated trafficking within 2000 feet of a school
-Trafficking in illegal drugs, methamphetamine
-Trafficking in illegal drugs, cocaine
-Maintaining place for keeping/selling controlled substance
-Unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia

We would like to thank Guymon Police Department and Hooker Police Department and Oklahoma Highway Patrol for assisting us with this operation.
