The Liberal Bee Jays won their ninth straight game with a 22-10 over the Colorado Roughriders Thursday evening in Denver.  The Bee Jays banged out 20 hits and eight extra base hits in the win at Everitt Middle School in Wheat Ridge.  The B.J.’s have scored double digits in six straight and seven of their last eight games.

Ryota Kusumoto foreshadowed what was to come with a double on the first pitch.  He would later score.  Liberal scored seven in the second on six hits.  Tommy Molina singled home a run and James Nolan launched a towering three run home run to left.  Miller Durham tripled home two.  Julius Ramirez singled him home.  The Bee Jays scored four in the third for a 12-0 lead.  James Nolan singled to lead off the inning and scored on Tanner Gerosa’s RBI single.  Miller Durham doubled home two.  Julius Ramirez doubled home a run.  The Roughriders scored two in the third to make it 12-2.  Liberal scored five in fourth.  James Nolan led off the inning with his second home run of the game barely clearing the fence in left.  The Roughriders walked four and hit two batters in the inning.  Joel Roberts hit a two RBI single for the 17-2 lead.  The Roughriders chased home four in the fourth to make it 17-6.  With two outs, Matt Cormier doubled in the fifth and scored on an RBI single by Julius Ramirez.  The Roughriders weren’t finished plating three in the fifth to make it 18-9.  The Roughriders scored one in the sixth to close to within 18-10.  Liberal scored four in the seventh.  Cesar Gomez singled home a run.  Ryota Kusumoto doubled home two.

James Nolan was Epic Touch Player of the Game going 3-5 with two home runs and four RBI’s.  Julius Ramirez was 4-5 with four RBI’s.  Ryota Kusumoto was 3-5 with two doubles.  Miller Durham was 2-3 with five RBI’s.  Parker King worked four innings and Ashton Jenkins pitched two innings.  Logan Wade worked a scoreless seventh.

Liberal out-hit the Roughriders 20-14.  Roughriders had three errors and Liberal had one.

The Roughriders are 8-8 and 5-8 in the Rocky Mountain.  Liberal is 13-2 overall and 12-2 in the RMBL.  Liberal plays at Double Angel Field in Parker Friday night at 7pm central time with a 6:45 Dugout Show on 1270 and 92.3.
