Bee Jays Bring Mayeda Back for 2024 Season

The Liberal Bee Jays will have the same head coach for a third straight season this summer. Jared Mayeda will return to coach the Bee Jays in 2024. Last year’s Bee Jays went 30-13 and 2-2 at the NBC World Series. Mayeda stepped in for coach Jim Blair during the 2022 season which saw the Bee Jays go 35-6 and 26-2 to win the Rocky Mountain Baseball League. The team finished 3rd at the NBC. Mayeda is an assistant at Panhandle State and is from Los Alamitos, California.
He will be assisted by Kyle Mora and Keith Schulz Jr.
Mora played 5 years at UCLA finishing third all time in appearances. He played two years of independent ball for the Milwaukee Milkmen as well as 2022 with the Arizona Diamondbacks reaching double A. He is from Los Alamitos, California. He lives in San Diego with his wife.
Schulz Jr. was born and raised in Louisiana. He has coaching experience at OPSU, the Ripkin Collegiate League in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and the DBats of Amarillo and Fort Worth. He currently lives in Gruver with his wife and daughter and coaches at Sunray.
