Accident in Texas County Injures Two Juveniles

An injury accident occurred on Monday afternoon at approximately 3:20 pm on US-54 at the intersection of Mile 55, 1.75 miles northeast of Tyrone, OK.

A 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt driven a juvenile female, age 16 of Tyrone, Ok, was eastbound on US-54 when the vehicle departed the roadway to the right. The driver drove into a ditch and then rolled approximately 3 times landing on the vehicle’s tires. She was transported from the scene by Tyrone EMS to Southwest Medical Center in Liberal Kansas where she was treated and released for trunk internal injuries.

A passenger in the vehicle, a juvenile female, age 16, also of Tyrone, was transported from the scene by Tyrone EMS to Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, where she was later flown to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. She was admitted in stable condition for trunk internal injuries.
