City Commission Meets, Approves Fleet Vehicle Replacement

The Liberal City Commission met Tuesday evening and after a lengthy discussion, approved to move forward with an agreement with Enterprise Fleet Management to begin replacing city vehicles in an amount not to exceed $450,000. Replacement of vehicles will be on an annual rotating basis.

The Commission approved to move forward with a Solar Panel project on several City buildings not to exceed $800,000, and approved the purchase of 5 sets of protective gear for the Fire Department.

Commissioners approved a supplemental agreement and fund the additional $29,000 for the Railroad Overpass Grant, and approved the purchase of a Bobcat Compact Track Loader for the Airport.

Also approved was additional crack sealing and chip seal for Western Avenue.
