Tyren Holmes is Hay Rice and Associates Athlete of the Week

Liberal junior Tyren Holmes is this week’s Hay Rice and Associates Athlete of the Week.  Holmes set the school record in the squat at 665 pounds and bench at 405 Saturday at Wichita County.  He set the Wichita County meet record with those marks for a 1,355 total which was also a meet record.  His clean was 285 pounds.  Tyren was a first team all WAC football player this fall.  Holmes and the Redskins will participate in their next powerlifting meet Feb 17th at Larned.
