Liberal junior wrestler Isabela Gutierrez is this week’s Hay Rice and Associates Athlete of the Week. She took first place at Wichita West on Saturday and then won her match against Garden City in the Big House on Tuesday. Gutierrez caught the attention of the Kansas Wrestling Coach’s Association who ranks her 4th at 105 pounds. She is 16-2 on the season. She took 4th at state last year. She is a three sport athlete involved in cross country, wrestling, and soccer. The Redskins wrestle at Lamar on Tuesday.
