Passenger Injured in Two Vehicle Accident on East 8th Street in Liberal

A two vehicle accident occurred Wednesday afternoon at approximately 2:05 pm at the US 54 at 8th Street intersection in Liberal.

A 2017 Chevy Impala being driven by Silvia Garcia, 52, of Hooker OK was Eastbound on US 54, attempting to turn onto 8th Street. A 2015 Ford F150 being driven by Micah Koehn, 20, of Montezuma KS was Westbound on US 54. Garcia turned in front of Koehn and the vehicles impacted.

Koehn and Garcia were not injured, however a passenger in the Garcia vehicle, Reyna Gomez Garcia, 45, of Hooker OK was taken to Southwest Medical Center to be treated for suspected minor injuries.

Seat belts were in use by all occupants in both vehicles.
