Skins Pick Up Much Needed Win at Hugoton

After a debacle Thursday against Hays, this is just what the Redskin baseball team needed. A solid pitching performance, aggressive base running, and plentiful offense were all evident in Liberal’s 10-2 win at Hugoton Monday evening. Liberal scored two in the second, four in the fourth, one in the fifth and sixth, and added two in the seventh. Austin Pitts pitched six innings striking out six. Liberal was 6-6 in the stolen base department. The Skins had 11 hits including a triple by Pitts and a double by Brian Morris. Liberal is 4-5 and hosts Goodland for a double header Thursday at 4 PM. Liberal will host Guymon for a single game Friday at 4:30 PM.
