Sue Ann Maddox, 70, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023 at the Good Shepard Homecare and Hospice, in Manhattan, Kansas.
She was born on December 29, 1952 in Lamar, Colorado, the daughter of Peter and Phyllis (LeFort) Geier.
Sue graduated from Lamar High School in 1970. She then went to the Presbyterian School of Nursing in Denver, Colorado, where she graduated in 1976 with a 3 year Registered Nursing Degree.
Sue worked as a nurse at the Prowers County Medical Center in Lamar, and Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, where she retired from.
Sue is survived by her husband, Charles Maddox, of St. George, Kansas.
Her daughter, Meagan Cramer and her husband Corey of Manhattan, Kansas.
Her granddaughters, Madison and Mckenzie Cramer.
Her Brothers; Peter Geier of Pueblo, Colorado.
James Geier and his wife Lana of Trinidad, Colorado.
Thomas Geier of St. Paul, Minnesota.
Her Sisters; Eldonna Mosier and her husband Jeff of Lamar, Colorado.
Patricia Hall and her husband Gary of Kennewick, Washington.
Many Nieces and Nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister in law, Esther Geier.
Visitation will be on Friday, November 24, 2023 from 10am to 5pm at the Hornung Family Funeral Home. The Family will be present to greet friends from 3 to 5pm.
A rosary will follow at 6pm, at the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1510 N. Calhoun Ave, Liberal, Kansas.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with Father James Dieker celebrating mass.
