The Ottawa men’s and women’s bowling teams continued their seasons as they competed at the Jayhawk Collegiate Challenge in Lawrence and Topeka this past weekend.
The men qualified for the bracket in 5th with a 7,614 pin total. They then posted a baker set of 762 to finish third in their pod, ending the bracket in 5th. Individually, Liberal’s  Josh King placed the highest of any Brave, tallying 985 for five games.
The women’s team qualified in second with a 7,546 pin total. The Braves shot 748 baker set to lead their pod and qualify for the final pod. Ottawa finished second in the championship pod behind tournament champion Wichita State. Gabriella Hernandez was the individual tournament champion with 994 pins for 5 games, and Holly Bridges joined Hernandez on the All-Tournament Team in third with 986 pins for 5 games.
