Lady Saints Dismantle KCK

The Kansas City Lady Devils (12-19) traveled a long way for a 42 point loss in the Green House Tuesday night. Seward out-scored KCK 41-16 in the second half and won 76-34. The Lady Saints forced 32 turnovers and held the Lady Devils to 27 percent shooting. Megan Lassley led the Lady Saints with 16 points and six steals. Rachel Barnes added 15 points. Vaneza Junior dropped in 10 while LaNell Taylor scored 10 in her final game in the Green House. The 26-5 Lady Saints play Labette in the quarterfinal round of the Region 6 Tournament for the third time in four years. Seward beat Labette at Coffeyville December 6 76-58 and December 13 in Liberal 71-55. The Lady Cardinals beat Butler last night in Parson 87-66. The game will be Friday at 3 pm in Koch Arena at Wichita State and will air on B107.5 and kscb.net.
