One Vehicle Accident in Seward County Sends Several to the Hospital

A one vehicle accident in Seward County has sent several individuals to the hospital. The accident occurred Thursday evening at approximately 7:45 pm, 3 miles West of Highway 83, on Seward County Road 9.

A 2004 Lincoln Navigator being driven by Marcus Irsik, 30, of Elkhart was Eastbound on Seward County Road 9 when he drifted towards the South ditch to avoid two motorcycles that were passing a Westbound semi. Irsik overcorrected and entered the North ditch in a side skid. The Navigator then tipped and rolled an unknown number of times before coming to rest upright, facing Southwest.

Irsik was taken to Southwest Medical Center with serious injuries. Three passengers in the vehicle, Tyson Miller, 41, of Liberal, Tajah Miller, 19, of Liberal, and Yarexy Godina, 19, of Liberal were also taken to Southwest Medical Center with suspected minor injuries. Two juvenile’s were also present in the vehicle, their information is protected.
