Dodge City – Near 100 degree temperatures and wind took a toll on the Lady Redskins on Thursday at the Dodge City HS Girls Golf Invitational at Mariah Hills Golf Course. One of the Lady Redskins succumbed to the heat and fell ill and had to drop out of the tournament. With only four players, and four scores are required to post a team score, LHS did not post a team score for the second consecutive tournament.
Senior Bret Lyon again led the Lady Redskins with a 112, finishing in 32nd place. Her score was 16 strokes better than what she posted a year ago at this tournament. Sophomore Leine Tian finished 47th with a score of 147. And Freshman Katie Lewis finished 49th with a 154.
The eleven team tournament, which included all five WAC schools, was loaded with talent.
