Two Vehicle Accident in Seward County

A two vehicle accident occurred Tuesday afternoon at approximately 12:27 pm Southbound on Highway 83, just North of County Road 9 in Seward County. A 2013 Honda Civic being driven by Angelica Chavez, 21, of Liberal, was stopped in a construction zone waiting for the pilot car, when a 2001 Honda Civic being driven by Francisco Pascual Vincente, 55, of Salina, failed to yield and stuck the Chavez vehicle in the rear.

Chavez was taken to Southwest Medical Center with possible injuries. Vincente and a passenger in his vehicle, Andres Rodriguez, 23 of Liberal were not injured.

One juvenile was present in the Chavez vehicle. The juveniles information records are protected.
