The Liberal softball team won their last home game 5-1 over the Dodge City Red Demons Tuesday night at the National Beef Sports Complex.   It’s Liberal’s first WAC win of the season.

The Redskins scored single runs in the second and third.  DCHS scored in the 4th to make it 2-1.  LHS put up a three spot in the fifth to lead 5-1.  Liberal out-hit Dodge City 8-4 while the Demons committed three errors and Liberal had two.  Jenna Ormiston pitched the distance with five strikeouts and one walk.  Taylor Harding, Lexi Miller, and Elizabeth Mannel had two hits a piece.  Mannel had a double and three RBI’s.

Dodge City is 3-15 overall and 0-10 in the WAC.  Liberal is 4-14 overall and 1-9 in the WAC.  The same two teams play Thursday at Dodge City at 4pm for a double header.
