Cesar Pavia is Hay Rice and Associates Athlete of the Week

Liberal junior runner Cesar Pavia is this week’s Hay Rice and Associates Athlete of the Week.  Pavia won the 800 at Meade on Friday in 2:11 and defeated a state champion in the process.  Pavia made state as a sophomore in the 800, 4×800, and 4×400.  Pavia has competed at LHS in swim, cross country, soccer, and track.   He will compete Thursday in the Liberal Invitational in the 800, 1600, and the 4×400 relay.  Running events begin at about 4:15 at the Gary Cornelsen Sports Complex.
