Liberal and Meade Tie for First in Tennis Opener

Liberal played in their first tournament of the year hosting Dodge City, Garden City and Meade at Blue Bonnet Park. Liberal finished the day tied for first place in the points standings with Meade.
1 singles – Jovanni Garcia finished 4-2 and took 2nd place overall.
2 singles – Jackson Dodge also went 4-2 on the day for a 2nd place finish.
1 doubles – Hudson Brown & Daniel Nguyen lost a tough finals match to finish in 2nd place and going 3-2.
2 doubles – Parker Brown & Emmanuel Garcia went undefeated taking the championship by finishing 3-0.
This was the first tournament play for 3 of these boys and everyone learned a lot to take into future tournaments.
Liberal travels to Great Bend on Saturday.
