Seward County Commission Waives Arena Fees for Crossroads

The Seward County Commission met Tuesday evening with a light agenda. Approved was the waiver of fees for the Arena on the Seward County Fairgrounds. Crossroads Center, Inc will be holding the annual Ranch Rodeo event on April 29, 2023. This event is open to the entire public with no admission charge. The proceeds from the contestants entering the event are used for the equine-assisted therapeutic riding activities as well as items needed for the horses such as hay, feed, tack, and other items for the riders and the arena.

The Commission also approved that ownership of K9 Britt is transferred to Seward County and Indemnification Agreement be signed. K9 Britt will be returned back to active duty as a service dog for Seward County. The K9 was retired by the City of Liberal, and they have given permission for the County to take ownership.
