Indians Run Over Redskins

The Hays Indians defeated the Liberal Redskins by 40 Friday night in Hays.  The Indians took a 76-36 win over the Skins.  Hays outscored the Skins 36-11 in the second half and 24-8 in the third quarter.

The Redskins were competitive early in the game.  LHS trailed 14-12 before using a 7-0 run to lead 21-12 at halftime.  Hays scored eight quick points in the first 45 seconds of the second half to lead 48-25.  It was 64-33 after three.  The game was played with a running clock in the fourth quarter.

Liberal committed 18 turnovers in the loss. Zayden Martinez had 10 points and eight rebounds.

Hays wins their 12th in a row over Liberal.  The Redskins drop their 13th straight game and fall to 2-14 overall and 0-5 in the WAC.  The Indians are 9-7 overall and 3-2 in the WAC.  Liberal plays at Goodland Monday evening at 5pm central time with Redskin Pre-game at 4:45 on 1270 and 92.3.
