Senior Leaders Grapple into Finals

There are two LHS wrestlers in the finals at the 5-a wrestling meet in Wichita. Tyler Sutherland at 152 and Nate Davis at 189 both advanced to tomorrow night’s finals. Adrian Salas at 112 pounds made it to the semifinals. Davis, Sutherland, Salas, heavyweight Ricky Gomez, and 140 pound Alan Catalan won in the first round. Victor Cruz at 130, Justin McPhail at 171, and Chuy Torres at 215 won in consolation. Liberal sits in the fourth place at state. The Redskins have 75 points trailing Emporia (113.5), Lansing (90), and Bishop Carroll (80).
