Thanksgiving schedule at SCCC
Seward County Community College will close its campus Wednesday, Nov. 23, through the Thanksgiving weekend. Campus will reopen and classes resume on Monday, Nov. 28. For student housing residents unable to travel home for the holiday, the college has arranged food service, noted SCCC Vice President of Student Services Celeste Donovan.
“There’s never a time when we are comfortable with students going hungry, especially during a holiday that is focused on food and community,” she said. “With the opening of the SaintsUP food and supplies pantry on campus, there are more options for those students to stock up in preparation, but we want them to know we care about their wellbeing and state of mind.”
When students return to campus on Nov. 28, final exams begin for night classes, with finals for day classes to follow the next week, Dec. 5.
“It’s hard to believe we are nearing the end of the semester, but here we are,” said SCCC President Brad Bennett. “Enrollment is open for the Spring 2023 semester, and we’re excited looking ahead to that.”
