Liberal City Commission Meets, Denies Special Use Permit

The Liberal City Commission met on Tuesday evening, and after hearing from local residents, the Commission denied the Special Use Permit to place an AT&T Tower on the Country Club property. Other sites could possibly be looked at for the tower placement.

The City Commission also passed Resolution 2388 which will allow for the demolition of property at 640 S. New York with T&B Towing getting the bid at $6,000.00. The property has fallen into major disrepair was deemed unsafe and has had no utilities to the structure for 23 years.

The Commissioners also approved a Neighborhood Revitalization Plan for a large section of the Liberal Community.
