Bee Jays Start Fast in Win Over Outlaws

The Liberal Bee Jays scored 10 runs in the first on the way to a 21-5 win over the Colorado Springs Outlaws Friday night at Brent Gould Field.  The game ended after seven innings due to the run rule in the first of a three game series.

Liberal began the night with a 10 run first.  Gavin Brzozowski singled and advanced to second on an error.  Keaton Grady doubled him home.  Zach Yorke singled him home.  Caden Hensley singled.  Luke Smith shot a single to right to score two.  Ethan Frey singled home a run.  Ryan Leary laced a two RBI triple off the wall in right center.  Gavin Brzozowski double home a run.  Keaton Grady singled home a run.  Caden Hensley singled home a run to cap off a 10 run inning on 10 hits.  Colorado Springs scored three in the third.  Liberal scored in the fourth when Ethan Frey singled home a run.  The Outlaws scored two in the fifth to make it 11-5.  Liberal scored seven in the bottom of the fifth.  Gavin Brzozowski doubled to lead off the inning.  Keaton Grady walked.  Zach Yorke singled home a run.  Caden Hensley was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.  Tyce Armstrong grounded out to score a run.  Ethan Frey walked with the bases loaded.  Ryan Leary singled home a run.  Gavin Brzozowski doubled home two runs.  Liberal scored three more in the sixth.  Cooper Hext singled and Connor Westenburg singled.  Jordan Thompson singled home a run.  Zeb Ruddell doubled home a run.

Liberal scored 21 runs on 20 hits and committed four errors.  Colorado Springs scored five runs on eight hits and two errors.

Gavin Brzozowski was 4-6 with three doubles.  Keaton Grady was 3-4.  Paul Bonzagni went four innings.  Hunter Estill went two innings and did not allow an earned run.  Jett Brown worked a scoreless innings.

Liberal is 10-4 overall and 8-1 in the Rocky Mountain Baseball League.  Colorado Springs is 7-8 overall and 5-7 in the RMBL.
