Liberal Girls Soccer Tops Hays

After a tough overtime loss at home to Hays last week, the Liberal girls soccer team atoned for that loss with a 3-2 win at Hays on Thursday.  Johana Ortuno, Ashley Carrillo, and Coraima Chavira scored goals and Arely Molina had two assists.  Liberal led 2-1 at halftime and LHS went up 3-1 in the second half then the Indians scored their second goal with five minutes remaining in the game.  Liberal improves to 4-5 overall and 3-3 in the WAC.  Hays falls to 8-3 and 3-2 in the WAC.  Liberal plays at Wichita Classical on Saturday at 2pm.
