The Seward County Commission met on Monday evening and approved an intersection improvement on US-83, adding a dedicated turn lane and acceleration lane to the existing northbound lane of US-83 at the intersection of Salley Road. This includes adding a free flow right turn lane from westbound Salley Road to northbound US-83, and reconstructing 500 feet of Salley Road.

Funding for the project will be discussed and determined at a special meeting.

The Commission also directed the County Administrator April Warden and Fire Chief Andrew Barkley to review former Mutual Aid agreements and look into the possibility of updating and implementing the new agreements with surrounding counties and fire departments.
